About Enrichment Sessions

PLEASE NOTE: Currently only past and current students may schedule enrichment al carte.

Enrichment sessions are now available to be booked individually by both past and current students. You no longer have to wait for a designated day; you can now schedule these private enrichment sessions guided by Lauren Tsao, MS, CDBC, CPDT-KA in convenient 45-minute slots. Whether virtually or at our Braxton, MS farm, where we handle setup and cleanup for you – all you have to do is show up.

Focused on providing species-appropriate enrichment activities for you and your dog to enjoy together, enrichment sessions ensure a supervised and supportive environment as your dog explores new activities alongside you.

These sessions complement but do not replace our private training and classes. If you need training advice about manners or behavioral concerns, please book a private training session instead.

45-minute sessions are $45 USD each - paid at time of booking.

Activities vary based on your dog's preferences, the weather, and equipment availability:

  • Free Work & Scent Enrichment Setups

  • Canine Fitness Equipment (Klimbs, yellow peanut, Blue-9 propels, cavaletti)

  • Mini Agility Equipment (mini dogwalk, hoopers, and jumps)

  • Splash Pools and Pads

  • Bubble Machine and Flavored Bubbles

  • Herb Gardens to Explore

  • Guided Sniffaris

  • Puzzle Wall & Toys

  • Large Fenced Yard

  • Indoor Area (in case of inclement weather)

  • And of course, the sights and smells of the farm!

What Is Free Work?

Most of our enrichment sessions involve a Free Work setup tailored to your dog. These setups offer treats and dog-safe scents at varied stations. Each designed at different heights to encourage movement and identify your dog's preferences. The stations also feature various textures and items for chewing, licking, and foraging, providing low-impact enriching enrichment that helps your dog slow down and relax.

Common Questions & Answers

  • Enrichment sessions involve one-on-one time with a trainer, emphasizing activities tailored to your pet's natural behaviors. For dogs, this could mean exploring scents, textures, and treats. These personalized sessions are perfect for dogs that may find traditional environments overwhelming or overstimulating.

  • Our enrichment sessions are held at our Braxton, MS training facility, which is only around 35 minutes from Jackson, MS. However, we can schedule enrichment Zoom calls for out-of-town students to guide you in setting up enrichment setups for your pet too.

  • Enrichment sessions are scheduled in 45-minute time slots based on trainer availability. Each session costs $45 USD and includes treats, scents, personalized review of your dog's enrichment needs before the session, equipment setup, and cleaning after you leave.

To ensure a quality experience, one dog per session is permitted due to the presence of valuable resources.

Feel free to bring up to two other adults (ages 18+; including yourself). We suggest leaving children at home during enrichment sessions.
