June Enrichment Day

Our enrichment days are one of the perks of attending classes and programs with Faithfully Yours Dog Training! These days are only open to past or current FY students and are all about enriching you and your dog’s lives together.
Each enrichment day we provide different enrichment activities to help your dog spend excess energy, use their brain by playing fun games, and explore in an environment created by dog professionals with your dog’s enjoyment in mind!
On enrichment days, we provide time slots for you and your dog to come out to our 11-acre Braxton, MS farm for unique dog enrichment activities. Your time slot is your own private time slot and all items/toys are disinfected between each time slot.
Even if your dog has behavioral concerns like reactivity, they may join us for enrichment days.
The enrichment activities for enrichment days will vary based on the weather. If there is rain or it is too damp outside to safely allow running, we will move all the activities indoors. We try to provide several enrichment stations for you to pick from.
A staff member will be present to make sure you understand how to complete the enrichment activity and will stand by for any questions or concerns you may have, but enrichment days shouldn’t be used as private “training sessions” with staff members. These days are about you and your dog enjoying a fun dog-centric activity for mental and/or physical simulation. We are just there to make sure everything runs smoothly for you!
Activities possible to select from for June’s enrichment day (nice weather-dependent AND comfortable temperature-dependent activities are marked) You will pick your top three indoor and top three outdoor activities from this list and we will provide what weather, temperature, and time allows for the day of:
Indoor Activities (toy box of various dog toys in provided inside for all dogs):
Scent and dog puzzle enrichment room setup with scents of your choice and/or treats hidden for you
Dog fitness equipment access (Klimbs with traction mats with various leg heights, balance pad, cavaletti, and Blue-9 Propels available)
Country sniffin’ setup - a scent setup with natural materials like grass clippings, chicken/duck smells, leaves, etc. to bring the outdoor into the AC for your dog to enjoy!

A single new trick taught to you and your dog (a list of reasonable tricks for your time slot will be provided for you to select from. Please keep in mind this option may take up your entire time slot time to achieve the trick, so only select it if you are highly interested. We can also give you a quick demo with your dog on how to teach it at home if desired, but your dog must be familiar and friendly with Trainer Lauren for this option.)
“Zen Den” Room: Relaxing indoor room with massage table and heated massage table topper access (set to a dog-safe temperature) for you at practice relaxation training with your dog in new environments or just give them a break from the excitement of outdoor activities if signed up for those. Calming spa music will be playing and an Adaptil diffuser will be in the room to promote relaxation. (If you choose both this and the puzzle room, we will combine them together for you in the same room.)
Outside Activites:
Mini agility equipment access (some equipment is weather-dependent due to size)
Guided leashed sniffaris around marked areas of the farm (make sure you bring a back-clip harness for this activity!) (weather-dependent)
Scented and flavored bubbles and bubble machine (weather and comfortable temperature dependent)
Small doggie pool access and gentle water misters in the fenced yard (weather-dependent)
Inflatable doggie sprinkler (weather-dependent)
Access to the fenced yard area for off-leash play with you. The fenced yard has a doggie herb garden for extra good sniffing opportunities as you enter the yard. (weather-dependent)
Our outdoor custom-made puzzle wall (under a shaded roof on the porch with fans provided.)
And of course, all the unique sights and smells the farm itself provides!
Pricing and Booking:
Below are the available time slot for June 24th from 2 pm to 6:30 pm CT, as we need time to disinfect surfaces and set up between slots.
Make sure you are prepared to leave on time and arrive on time.
All slots are thirty minutes in length to work through the enrichment activities provided. We will ask in advance what activities you are most interested in and try to provide those activities for your slot if the weather and temperature allows.
Only dogs we have worked with in the past can attend enrichment days, but you may bring any people your dog already knows and is friendly with that you want. Due to the high value nature of many of the activities, we recommend one dog per time slot.
Only healthy, non-contagious dogs and people should attend enrichment days since most activities require good physical fitness.
Dogs will need proof of updated vaccines if we don’t have any on record for you that are current.
If your dog recently had surgery, has exercise restrictions/is on crate rest, has an injury or illness, has recent diarrhea, vomiting, or coughing without a known non-contagious cause, has intestinal worms, heartworms with exercise restriction, fleas, or ticks, or has a contagious skin condition, and/or has any other medical concerns that would be contagious or restrict your dog from safely doing the activities, please stay home.
Spots are $35 per 30-minute slot, which covers your treat costs, our staff’s time to supervise your session, and cleaning supplies.
