Our enrichment days are one of the perks of attending classes and programs with Faithfully Yours Dog Training! These days are only open to past or current FY students and are all about enriching you and your dog’s lives together.

Each enrichment day we provide different enrichment activities to help your dog spend excess energy, use their brain by playing fun games, and explore in an environment created by dog professionals with your dog’s enjoyment in mind!

On enrichment days, we provide time slots for you and your dog to come out to our 11-acre Braxton, MS farm for unique dog enrichment activities. Your time slot is your own private time slot and all items/toys are disinfected between each time slot.

Even if your dog has behavioral concerns like reactivity, they may join us for enrichment days.

Puzzlin’ Puppy is a mini hands-on workshop held in at our Braxton, MS location and taught by our certified professional dog trainer and certified dog behavior consultant, Lauren Tsao, MS, CDBC, CPDT-KA, CTDI.

This hour-long workshop will be held indoors and only have three in-person student working spots to make sure Lauren can attend to each working team appropriately and make sure all the puppies have an enriching and positive experience during the workshop.

During the workshop, you will learn how to set up appropriately challenging food and toy puzzles for your puppy (ages 8 weeks to 14 weeks old), when to help them and when to let them build resilience, the benefits of canine enrichment, how to modify the puzzle challenge for various levels as they grow, and how puzzles can help puppies become more independent and confident problem solvers in the future.

Our Canine Escape Rooms are events where dogs and their owners can come together to solve an escape room together. If you have never visited a human-only escape room, you are put into a room with other people and then asked to solve puzzles within the room within a time limit to “escape”!

For our canine escape rooms, you will be using the help of your dog’s nose and brain to solve dog-friendly treat puzzles to find clues. Don’t worry - there are also puzzles for the humans to solve themselves too! Working as a team, you will try to complete all the puzzles in the room before time runs out.

Polite Door Greetings will cover exercises like the following:

• Fostering better door manners to prevent jumping on people and door dashing.

• Options to best fit your lifestyle and home layout when managing door behaviors.

• Why better door greetings are important and can help reduce the likelihood of dog bites.

• Creating a setup that can help you succeed with door greeting training.

• Things that should be avoided when training door manners and why.

Chill Out! will cover exercises like the following:

• Why training a dog to relax is worth the time and necessary.

• How relaxation exercises, like Go To Your Bed or Crate, can make the holidays or having guests over less of a hassle.

• Building better relaxation through games and fun activities.

• Why anxious, nervous, and high energy dogs benefit from a variety of relaxation techniques.

• Learn how to teach Go To Your Bed or Crate with relaxation built in!
