What’s In Your Mouth!? Leave It and Drop It: Training Your Dog To Leave Items Alone and Drop Items When Told Virtual Group Training Class is a LIVE 1-hour Online Dog Training Group Class that will be taught by Lauren Tsao, MS, Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed and Certified Dog Behavior Consultant from Faithfully Yours Dog Training over the Zoom online platform.
The online format allows all dogs to join us - fearful dogs, aggressive dogs, reactive dogs, and dogs who get carsick, as well as allows us to practice in your real life home setup!
Online training class cost is $15 per person/dog team and held over Zoom on Saturday, October 22nd, 2022 at 2pm-3:00pm CT. Humans can also attend solo, but we recommend having a dog present for the hands-on exercises.
The class with be suitable for owners and dogs of all experience levels. Dogs should be 8 weeks of age or older to join us for this class.
Limited spots available (only 10 working spots available) and the virtual class will be recorded, so you may watch it again for practice, so even if you cannot attend the live class, you can purchase it and watch the recording at your convenience.
Items Needed For Class
You will need a few items for this class:
A few different high-value treats
Dog toys or dog-safe items your dog likes and will pick up (no socks or shoes please!)
A bowl
OPTIONAL: A clicker
OPTIONAL: A slow feed bowl or snuffle mat (highly recommended for one leave-it exercise)

The virtual What’s In Your Mouth!? Leave It and Drop It dog training class will cover these training exercises and topics:
Positive-reinforcement focused training exercises to teach and proof the Leave It and Drop It verbal cues. (ex. Your dog leaving things alone when asked and your dog dropping things when asked.)
How to get your dog to leave items, food, people, and other animals alone when asked.
How to get your dog to drop items out of their mouth when asked, like their toys, things they shouldn’t eat, and gross things picked up on walks.
How to proof these behaviors so, you can use them anywhere!
How to use Leave It if your dog is reactive to humans and other animals on walks.
How these skills can help improve your dog’s safety and protect them from making dangerous choices.
*Please note: Remove all prong/pinch collars, choke chains, slip leads, and e-collars/shock collars before class. These are not allowed nor needed in our group classes as they can interfere with our training methods.
About Your Dog Trainer
Lauren Tsao has years of professional hands-on experience working with a variety of dog training cases from puppy training to dog aggression using positive reinforcement-based training methods to get results and foster desirable behavioral changes. Lauren has a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Applied Animal Behavior and Welfare, which she applies to her work with animals and their owners. Additionally, she’s a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CDBC), and Certified Trick Dog Instructor (CTDI).
