Virtual Halloween-themed training workshop cost is $35 per person held over Zoom and presented by Lauren Tsao on Monday, Oct. 9th, 2023 from 2pm-3:00pm CT. Dogs and humans are welcome for this virtual training workshop! Limited spots available and the class will be recorded.

1-hr Trick AND Treat Online Training Class will cover topics like the following:

• Halloween-themed training exercises to prepare for a stress-free BARKING-free Halloween night. Though these exercises can be used year-round for various sounds, scary new people/items, and to prevent barking and door dashing.

• How to stop barking at the doorbell or when someone knocks on the door.

• How to setup your entry way to prevent door dashing immediately, as well as ideas for more advanced training setups at the door to prevent door dashing.

• How to use desensitization and counter conditioning to help decrease barking when your dog can see/hear someone at the door, especially spooky dressed-up Trick-or-Treaters!

• How to use desensitization and counter conditioning to help decrease barking and fearfulness around novel items like Halloween decor that is new, moves, or makes sounds. As well as sounds related to Halloween like children laughing, door opening and closing, and more.

• What you SHOULD and SHOULD NOT do when trying to make your dog comfortable with new activities - especially around the holidays.

CLASS START DATE AND TIME? The first class starts Thursday, September 7th, 2023 at 7 PM Central Time (course classes run every Thursday for six weeks straight at 7 PM central time with a live Zoom group class every Thursday, except Sept. 28th.) Graduation day is October 12th, 2023 at 7 PM central.

LOCATION? Virtual over Zoom - anyone can attend anywhere in the world! You will also gain access to a virtual course with videos, so you may opt in or out of the live Zoom classes.

COST? $125 per dog for the five-week course (five 1-hour virtual live Zoom classes plus access to our pre-recorded video course, the Zoom class recordings, and optional free Novice trick dog assessments for both Do More With Your Dog! and the American Kennel Club title credit). Class limited to twelve dog/owner teams.

PRE-REQUISITES? Dog and human students must know about training with treats using luring and be able to focus during class. Because this class is virtual, reactive dogs who are not owner-handling reactive/aggressive are welcome to join us!

PLEASE NOTE: This class is for healthy dogs with no significant prior injuries. Healthy puppies (eight weeks and up) and senior dogs may join us for Novice level with modifications made to match their physical needs.

Online What’s In Your Mouth!? Leave It & Drop It group dog training class cost is $15 per person held over Zoom and presented by Lauren Tsao on Saturday, Oct. 22nd, 2022 from 2pm-3:00pm CT. Dogs and humans are welcome for this virtual class! Limited spots available and the class will be recorded.

1-hr What’s In Your Mouth!? Leave It & Drop It Online Training Class will cover topics like the following:

• Positive-reinforcement focused training exercises to teach and proof the Leave It and Drop It verbal cues. (ex. Your dog leaving things alone when asked and your dog dropping things when asked.)

• How to get your dog to leave items, food, people, and other animals alone when asked.

• How to get your dog to drop items out of their mouth when asked, like their toys, things they shouldn’t eat, and gross things picked up on walks.

• How to proof these behaviors so, you can use them anywhere!

• How to use Leave It if your dog is reactive to humans and other animals on walks.

• How these skills can help improve your dog’s safety and protect them from making dangerous choices.
