ENROLLMENT CLOSED UNTIL FALL - Recovering Reactive: Dog-Reactive Group Class

back to basic_ (8).png

About Our Reactivity Group Class:

Have a dog that is barking and lunging excitedly at other dogs or strangers on leash? This is the group class for you! Learn how to get to the root of this issue - rather than just teaching obedience skills to cover it up. Leash reactivity is becoming one of the most common behavioral issue we deal with in dogs today.

We will cover the following topics:

  • Addressing leash reactivity that is excitement based

  • Understanding where this behavior starts

  • Desensitization and counter-conditioning

  • Loose leash walking skills

  • Creating a peaceful walk for both you and your dog

  • Skills for frustration and stress relief on walks

  • Addressing barking and lunging on leash

How Much and What Is Included:

Class is $250 for six 1-hour group classes (no more than five puppy/handler teams per class). This class comes with a free 1-hr video orientation, a clicker, and a waived title testing fee of your choice. Plus there is a chance to win prizes during class time!

Who Can Attend:

Requires up to date vaccines and negative results on last fecal test given in the last year. Only dogs five months and above may join this class.

This class is for dogs excited by other dogs or strangers on leash - not aggressive/fearful dogs or dogs with bite histories. Please contact us about private training for those cases.

Class Schedule and Make-Up Policy:

Class dates subject to changes due to weather conditions as class is weather dependent.
