Canine Escape Room

In-Person Dog Puzzle Event
Room Theme: The Missing Recipe

Faithfully Yours Dog Training - Braxton, MS Farm

Saturday, May 6th, 2023

ENROLLMENT IS NOW FULL FOR THIS EVENT! SEE YOU ALL AT THE NEXT ONE!

What Is This Event?

Our Canine Escape Rooms are events where dogs and their owners can come together to solve an escape room together. If you have never visited a human-only escape room, you are put into a room with other people and then asked to solve puzzles within the room within a time limit to “escape”!

For our canine escape rooms, you will be using the help of your dog’s nose and brain to solve dog-friendly treat puzzles to find clues. Don’t worry - there are also puzzles for the humans to solve themselves too! Working as a team, you will try to complete all the puzzles in the room before time runs out. The fastest team will be sent a prize to their email after the event ends.

A couple of important things:
1. You will never be truly “locked” in the room and can leave at any time.
2. Dog escape rooms involve your dog eating, so your dog doesn’t leave with an upset tummy, these escape rooms are generally smaller and solved faster than rooms for just humans. This room is a total of 8 dog and owner team puzzles, with one puzzle at the end for just owners.

3. We are currently accepting enrollments from current and previous FY Dog Training students exclusively until April 1st, 2023. After April 1st, if any time slots are still open, they will be made available to the general public.

4. Please read through all event rules and guidelines before signing up!

What Is The Escape Room’s Story?

This month’s escape room has the following backstory:

You and your dog’s help is needed at Terrier’s Taqueria. The head chef has misplaced their super secret best-selling taco recipe right before the big weekend rush! The chef only has one taco left made with the secret recipe, but he has no idea how to make more!

He needs your dog to use their super sniffer to sniff out the taco ingredients so, he can recreate the secret recipe before the restaurant opens. Can you and your dog figure out what ingredients are needed to make the super secret tacos before the restaurant opens?

If so, the chef will pay you handsomely in treats for your assistance. If not, the whole town will be disappointed that they will never get to taste the Terrier’s Taqueria tacos again!

How To Enroll & Event Rules:

  1. Your dog must be up-to-date on rabies, bordetella, and DAPP vaccines, as well as up-to-date flea/tick prevention and a negative on their last fecal test (which should have been given within the last year) you will be asked to provide proof at the time of signing up in order to attend. Vaccinations must be administered at least 48 hours prior to arrival under the guidance of a licensed veterinarian.

  2. There should only be one dog and a maximum of two people on each team per run. All human attendees should be over the age of 13 for this event and dogs should be at least six months of age. The room will only be set up to accommodate a certain number of people/staff comfortably plus the puzzles and a dog.

  3. Please do not attend if your dog has been diagnosed with any kind of contagious condition, is on crate rest or exercise restriction, has food allergies, has fleas/ticks or intestinal parasites, or has an injury or condition which would make exercise or eating treats/certain foods contraindicated.

  4. FY Dog Training students who have met and can be touched/handled by Trainer Lauren and also do not have issues with their owner interacting with them while they have chews, puzzles, toys, and food may attend this event. By enrolling you acknowledge you are aware that toys and puzzles will be used during the event and you acknowledge it is your responsibility to prevent your dog from destroying and/or ingesting the toys and puzzles. Please consider whether or not this event will be suitable for your dog if they have a tendency to ingest toys/puzzles/non-food items. Dogs that are found to be unsuitable for the event will be removed without refund.

  5. General public dogs that are friendly with strangers and do not have any issues with their owner interacting with them while they have chews, puzzles, toys, and food may attend this event. Please do not sign up to attend if your dog has a bite history with humans.

  6. Dogs should not greet each other during this event and humans should not approach dogs that aren’t their own. Your time slot is your own slot - please be respectful of other people’s space. Owners and their dogs should wait in their cars until given the okay by staff to get out of their car. When your time slot is over, you will be asked to return to your car immediately, so the next team can be brought inside. If you cannot follow this rule, you will be asked to leave without refund.

  7. Please do not post on social media or discuss with other teams about puzzle solutions or share photos of the puzzles until after the entire event has ended, so each team can have the intended experience.

  8. While we disinfect the puzzles and the room in between each dog, we cannot accommodate dogs or humans with food allergies at this event because of the possibility of leftover treat crumbs/residue being in the puzzle room between dogs. So, if you or your dog has food allergies or other conditions which make it so the dog cannot safely eat certain treats, please skip this event.

  9. We are currently accepting enrollments from past and previous FY Dog Training students exclusively until April 1st, 2023. After April 1st, if any time slots are still open, they will be made available to the general public. Please email Lauren to book a time slot at Lauren@FYDogTraining.com
