$60 for in-person attendance with puppy.
$35 for virtual recording sent after live event.

What Is This Workshop About?

Puzzlin’ Puppy is a mini hands-on workshop held in at our Braxton, MS location and taught by our certified professional dog trainer and certified dog behavior consultant, Lauren Tsao, MS, CDBC, CPDT-KA, CTDI.

This hour-long workshop will be held indoors and only have three in-person student working spots to make sure Lauren can attend to each working team appropriately and make sure all the puppies have an enriching and positive experience during the workshop.

During the workshop, you will learn how to set up appropriately challenging food and toy puzzles for your puppy, when to help them and when to let them build resilience, the benefits of canine enrichment, how to modify the puzzle challenge for various levels as they grow, and how puzzles can help puppies become more independent and confident problem solvers in the future.

We will work through various levels and styles of puzzles, while you learn training basics to help guide them through the puzzle with the least frustration possible. We will work on sliding-style puzzles, lever-style puzzles, and puzzles that require rocking to get to the treats.

This workshop also doubles as a supportive and positive puppy socialization opportunity since the event will be small with only three puppies present, the puppies will not be greeting each directly, and it will be a low pressure learning experience. It is wonderful way to gently expose your puppy to sights and sounds of other puppies and dog owners in a supportive class setting without direct interaction between the puppies.

An in-person workshop ticket will also come with FREE access to our Puppy Potty Training DIY virtual course and a link to a copy of our Fuzzy Piraña: Puppy Biting and Teething webinar recording, as our gifts to you and your puppy.

What Are The Virtual Options?

The workshop will be recorded for our virtual auditors to view after the live event has occurred. So, if you are a trainer looking to host a similar event, but not sure how, the auditing spot would be the ideal option for you. This recording will also double as the Skill Sharper webinar for this month, so current private behavior students will also receive a free copy of this recording with their private behavior programs.

Who Can Attend In-Person?

The in-person working spots are intended for puppies from 8 weeks to 14 weeks of age, that are up to date on their recommended puppy vaccines for their age and had a negative of their last fecal test. You will be asked to provide proof of vaccines and a negative fecal test before the workshop. Vaccines must be given at least 48 hours prior to the workshop starting. Puppies can have one handler attend with them who is over 18 years of age so, we can keep the workshop small and not overwhelming for the puppies.

Your puppy should not be displaying any of the following behaviors: reactivity (ex. barking, lunging, and growling), extreme shyness or fearfulness, or aggression (including resource guarding, which is growling or biting over resources like toys and food.) If your puppy is showing these behaviors, they will be better suited for our private behavior modification programs because this event may be too overwhelming or stressful for them. Any puppies displaying these behaviors will be asked to leave the event without refund.
